HOMEOWNERS NOW HAVE ACCESS TO AFFORDABLE DO-IT-YOURSELF FAUX CLASSES

Orlando, FL – Most faux schools have a curriculum that train professionals and cost in the high hundreds or thousands of dollars for a multi-day class. These are perfect for faux finishers looking to expand their portfolio, but not so for a homeowner with just one dining room project. Garay Artisans now offers affordable DIY Classes specifically targeting homeowners with a base price starting at $99. “Since I’m usually in my paint clothes, I always get asked for faux advice. These classes are about 3 hours long and teach homeowners the basics of not only the finishes but of color guidance and professional application”, says Regina Garay, Creative Director and Owner of Garay Artisans.

In addition to glazing, metallics, textures and plasters, an exciting new area of the curriculum is a Cabinet Workshop taught by Jason Rosales. “Changing the look of your cabinets is a lot easier and more affordable than you might think. We are teaching how to take your existing cabinets and bring out the elegance or personality you need in your home. The products we use provide a baked enamel-like finish that makes your cabinets look as though they just came out of the factory. We will also teach the basics of using an HVLP sprayer to achieve the most professional results.”

The classes will be taught remotely, meaning that students will not have to travel to just one location. “We have five locations picked out: Clermont, The Villages, Downtown Orlando, East Orlando and Maitland. Our goal was to make sure it was easy for everyone to travel to such exciting classes.”

Garay Artisans have also teamed up with MeetUp.com and will produce an ongoing series of meetings to discuss any faux finishing projects in a roundtable discussion. The meetings are free and will be held at House Blend Café in Ocoee, FL. Participants would need to register at www.MeetUp.com. “All in all, we feel we are offering the Central Florida community a way to decorate their home in an affordable way with professional products found locally. In addition to our classes, they have a wealth of information available in our website’s Message Forum and Blog.”

Garay Artisans is an Orlando, FL faux finishing company that is run by a team of three siblings. The Garay Artisans website also provides more in-depth information on their artistry and business practices. The company’s clients include private individuals as well as corporate clients such as The Grand Bohemian Hotel (Orlando, FL), Sundy House (Delray Beach, FL), Portofino Hotel (Orlando, FL) and Remax, the real estate company. Garay Artisans is the chosen Local Faux Finishing Expert of WFTV-Channel 9, the ABC-based affiliate for the Central Florida area.
